Friday Night Update...

It was a normal day for Delaney, she was up at 645 am, happy and ready for the day. Fierce Friday! By noon Delaney had a Broviac dressing change, both caps changed on her lumens, 8 different medications administered, wore a eye patch for 3 hours, and mommy and daddy administered formula and pedialyte through out because Delaney still does not have an appetite. By noon Mommy and Daddy are exhausted. It remained a low key day for Delaney with rest, and play time. Everyone has been itching to get outside so in the afternoon when it was a little warmer and nicer out, Delaney went out for a little walk, said hi and waived to a couple of neighbors and was out just enough for some fresh air. Mommy and Daddy are are well past the point of burnt out, sometimes wondering how to keep going, but one look at Delaney smiling, and we find a way. And we take things one day at a time, even hours or minutes at a time, just to make it through. It brings us back to the different daily quotes we put above Delaney's bed in the hospital for 34 days and one in particular stands out.... "I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship." Lousia May Alcott. Just as Delaney is not afraid, we are together learning how to sail this ship through theses daily storms. Thank you for all the prayers, love and support. As always......GO TEAM DELANEY!!

"And though she be but LITTLE she is FIERCE
