Transplant Thursday...

It was a great day today for Delaney. She bounced back as fierce as ever. Delaney did not vomit today, but her morning was early, 545 am blood draw. Daddy took the blood to Walnut Creek Kaiser, Mommy was busy packing everything Delaney would need for the day because Delaney has an appointment at UCSF, for blood or platelets. We will not find out what she will need until we receive to results on the way to UCSF. It turns out she would need both platelets and blood today. Her nose bleed was due to low counts. She has had low counts before but nose bleed was a very first and scary, especially for Delaney. Delaney did great at UCSF today, she took things as they came and powered through. The blood was transfused to Delaney over 3 hours and platelets were transfused by gravity over 30 minutes or so. Then it was time to head back home, it has been a long day for Delaney, Mommy and Daddy, who were all exhausted beyond measure. Delaney was able to nap for 3 1/2 hours, resting her body, and allowing her body to absorb her transfusions. After her long nap Delaney awoke even more re-charged, happy and ready to play with brother. As busy and long as the day was it was Delaney's day. We are very optimistic and looking forward to tomorrow for more healing, recovery, and Fierce Friday! Thank you for all the prayers, love and support. As always....GO TEAM DELANEY

"And though she be but LITTLE, she is FIERCE!"
